What ISAI is
What is ISAI?
ISAI runs your AIs as one team. You tell ISAI the goal. ISAI makes a plan and gives each step to one of your AIs, for example ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. Your AIs check each other, and ISAI brings you one result. ISAI works in your own browser, with your own AI accounts, through ISAI's extension. The extension also shows ISA, the bubble next to your AI. Team tasks are in a test now.
What problem does ISAI solve?
Many people use two or more AIs. They move between tabs, copy context from one AI to the next, compare the answers and watch the usage limits. ISAI does that work. You give the goal and approve the plan. ISAI manages the AIs and brings back one report.
Who is ISAI for?
ISAI is for people who already use two or more AIs to get work done. For example: founders, developers, researchers, marketers, students and operators.
Is ISAI good? Why should I use ISAI?
ISAI saves the time that you spend between AI tabs. Each AI does the work it is good at, and one AI checks the work of another. You get one report: the work, who did what, where the AIs disagree and what is still open. Nothing runs before you approve the plan. After a task, tell ISAI if the result was better than one AI.
Is ISAI another AI chatbot?
No. ISAI does not replace your AI. ISAI is the boss of your AI team. Your AIs do the work in your own accounts. ISAI plans, gives each step to an AI, checks and reports. ISA, the bubble next to your AI, helps in your own chats.
How is ISAI different from Perplexity or search?
Search and answer engines give one answer from one system. ISAI uses the AIs that you already have and makes them work together. It splits the work, lets them check each other and shows where they agree and differ. In your own chats, ISA brings checked pages and checks the facts in the AI's answer.
What are Ask ISAI and ISA?
Ask ISAI is this chat on the website. You ask about ISAI, and it answers from what ISAI knows about itself. ISA is the bubble that ISAI's extension shows next to your AI, for example ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. It checks the AI's answers, finds pages that help and keeps your notes.
What can a find be?
ISA finds many kinds of pages. For example: a guide, a tool, a solution, a person, a project, a research paper, an event, a grant or a warning. ISA reads and checks each page before you see it.
Does ISAI tell the truth?
ISAI's rule is: ISAI never lies. ISAI says "done" only when it has read an answer. When two AIs agree, that is not proof. If ISAI has no evidence, it makes no claim. If sources or AIs disagree, ISAI shows the conflict.
How ISAI works
How does ISAI work?
You tell ISAI the goal, pick a mode and pick 1 to 4 AIs. ISAI makes a plan: it splits the goal into steps and gives each step to an AI. You approve the plan. Nothing runs before that. Then ISAI's extension opens your AIs in tabs next to the ISAI page, in your browser, types each step, sends it and reads only the answer. One AI can review the work of another. At the end, ISAI writes one report. ISAI works with your own AI accounts and never sees your passwords.
What is ISA and how does it work?
ISA is the bubble that ISAI's extension shows next to your AI. You ask your AI as usual. On your computer, ISA reads the chat and takes a few topic keywords and one short sentence about what you need. Only these go to ISAI's server, never your messages. ISAI searches, reads the pages and checks each one against its source. Then ISA shows you only the few pages that pass.
Where do the finds come from?
ISA's pages come from web search and from sources like Hacker News, arXiv, GitHub, YouTube, podcasts and the pages that your AI cites. ISAI reads each page before ISA shows it. Each find links to the original page.
How does ISA check a find?
ISAI reads the page. It checks that the find agrees with the page. It checks the author and the date. Then it gives the source a trust score. ISA does not show finds with a low score. When two or more independent sites agree, ISA marks the find as verified.
How many finds does ISA show?
ISA shows a few finds: usually 5 first, and not more than 9. If you do not open finds on a topic, ISA shows fewer on that topic. If ISAI finds nothing good, ISA shows nothing.
Does ISAI learn what I like?
In On mode, yes. ISA learns from the finds that you open, save, rate and mark as helpful. It learns your topics, the formats that you like and the sources that you trust. You can see all of it in your ISAI Map in ISAI Settings. You can remove a topic or clear the map.
What can ISAI do?
ISAI runs your AIs (ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini) as one team on your goal, in seven modes (from a plain chat to a planned project), and writes one report. This needs an ISAI account. ISA, the bubble next to your AI, has five more features. Find pages: helpful pages while you chat, and once a day a few pages for what you work on. Check answers: ISA checks the facts in an AI answer and shows the proof. My notes: keep pages and copied text in ISAI Doc. Projects: group chats about the same work. Watch pages: ISA reads a page once a day and tells you when its words change. Each feature stays quiet until you turn it on, in ISA or in ISAI Settings.
What are On, Private and Off in ISA?
ISA has three modes. On: ISA finds things and learns what is useful to you. Private: ISA helps in this chat and remembers nothing. Off: ISA reads nothing. You change the mode at the bottom of ISA's window.
What does "Do not show me" do?
You can tell ISA what it must not show you. For example: a site, a topic, lists, beginner content or videos. ISA holds these finds back and tells you how many it held back.
Can I use ISA outside AI chats?
Yes. On any website, select text and right-click. Pick "ISAI: put in my notes" or "ISAI: check if this is right". To watch a page, right-click on it and pick "ISAI: watch this page". The menu shows only the features you turned on. Press Alt+Shift+D to open ISA in an AI chat.
Privacy
Does ISAI read my ChatGPT conversations?
ISA reads the messages in the chat that you have open, in your browser. It does this only to find a few topic keywords and to write one short sentence about what you need. Only those go to ISAI. Your messages and the AI's answers stay in your browser. Text from an answer goes to ISAI only when you choose To notes or Check it. ISA does not read chats that you do not open, your AI account or your files. When ISA is Off, it reads nothing. An ISAI task is the one exception, and only when you start it. Then ISAI types your goal and its step prompts into the AI sites that you picked, and reads their answers there.
Where do my words go when ISAI answers?
In the ISAI app, when no AI is picked, ISAI answers you. Your message and the chat so far go to ISAI's server and ISAI's AI provider, once, to write the answer. ISAI does not keep the message or the answer on its server. The chat stays in your browser. When you pick one of your AIs with @, your words go only to that AI.
Where do my attached files go?
When you drop or attach a file in the ISAI app, your browser reads its text. This includes PDF and Word files. The file itself does not go to ISAI's server. The text goes with your message: to the AIs that do the task, or to ISAI's AI provider, once, when ISAI answers. For a plan, ISAI's server gets only the names of the files. ISAI keeps no file and no file text on its server.
What does ISAI send to its server?
ISA sends the topic keywords, one intent label, the links that the AI cited and the name of the AI site. It also sends which finds you open, save or rate. ISA never sends the text of your messages. An ISAI task that you start is the one exception. To plan and to write the report, ISAI sends your goal and your AIs' answers to its server and its AI provider. ISAI does not keep them. In Chat, your words go only to your AI. When you move a chat to another AI with ISA, it stays in your browser.
Does ISAI see passwords, emails or personal details?
No. ISAI never sees the passwords of your AI accounts: you sign in on each AI's own website. ISA removes passwords, keys, email addresses, phone numbers and card numbers on your computer before it reads anything. ISA also ignores personal topics, for example health, religion, politics and money problems.
What does ISAI keep?
In On mode, ISAI keeps your ISAI Map, your kept pages and a record of searches and ratings. It keeps them for 90 days by default. In Private mode, ISAI keeps nothing. For ISAI tasks, ISAI keeps only counts: the mode, which AIs, how many steps, which steps failed and your rating. When a step fails, ISAI also keeps an error record with facts only, for 30 days by default. It never keeps your goal or the answers. Your list of tasks stays in your browser. In ISAI Settings, "Delete my account" removes all your data.
Does ISAI keep a record when a step of my task fails?
When a step of an ISAI task fails, ISAI keeps an error record with your account for 30 days by default, so that we can fix the cause. The record has only facts. It has the AI, the mode, the step and the try, and why and where the step stopped. It has the times, which parts of the AI page ISAI found, and if the AI tab was in view. It has the length of an unfinished answer, the page address without its ids, your browser, your operating system and the version of ISAI's extension. It also has the kind of notice that the AI site showed (for example a usage limit). It never keeps your goal, your prompts, the answers, your files or the text of the page. When ISAI's own AI or ISAI's server has an error, ISAI keeps the kind of work, the error and the time (for ISAI's own AI, also your account), never your words. When an answer looks wrong (for example, the AI says it could not read a file, refuses, or stops in the middle), or when you rate an answer down, ISAI keeps a record of the kind, the AI and the step. It never keeps the answer. In ISAI Settings, "Delete my account" takes your account off these records.
Does ISAI sell my data?
No. ISAI does not sell your data. ISAI does not use your data for advertising.
Does Ask ISAI keep my questions?
When Ask ISAI answers your question, it does not keep the question. When Ask ISAI cannot answer, it keeps the question so that we can find the answer. It keeps your email only if you give it. ISAI deletes these questions after 180 days.
Does ISAI send my goal and the answers to its server?
Yes, but ISAI does not keep them. When you start a task, ISAI types your goal and its step prompts into the AI sites that you picked. This happens in your own browser, with your own sign-ins. ISAI reads their answers there. To plan and to write the report, ISAI sends your goal and those answers to its server and its AI provider. ISAI keeps only counts: the mode, which AIs, how many steps, which steps failed and why, and your rating. Your list of tasks and their answers stay in your browser. You can try ISAI tasks without an account. ISAI then counts your tasks under a random guest id made in your browser; it keeps no goal, prompt or answer, the same as for an account.
Does ISAI use what it learned about me in my tasks?
Only when you turn it on. In the ISAI app, the menu under your name has "Use what ISAI knows about me". It is off until you turn it on. Then ISAI adds a short line about a topic or a project that you confirmed, only when it fits your request. It shows the line before you send, and you can remove it. ISAI never uses your chat text for this. Turn it off, and ISAI adds nothing.
Does ISAI read my chats for AI updates?
No. ISAI knows which AIs you use from the AI site of each ISA search and from your ISAI tasks. It never reads your chats for this. ISAI keeps each day's list of updates for 90 days, with when you saw it and if you marked it useful. You can turn AI updates off in ISAI Settings.
What does "Learn from my results" keep?
Only labels and counts from your ISAI tasks: which AI did which kind of step, if it finished or failed and why, how long it took, a review's pass or fix, a step that you gave to another AI, an answer that you copied, and your rating. Never your goal, your prompts or the answers. It is off until you say yes. ISAI uses it to give each kind of work to the AI that does it well for you. About 1 in 5 of your tasks uses ISAI's usual choice, so ISAI can check that learning helps. See it or delete it in the ISAI app: the menu under your name, What ISAI learned.
Does ISAI train a model on my data?
Only if you turn on "Help improve ISAI" (off by default, and only with "Learn from my results" on). Then the same labels and counts, with a random id in place of your account, help train ISAI's own model. Never your words, and never your AIs' answers. Turn it off at any time in What ISAI learned.
Does ISAI know if two browsers are the same person?
Only as an estimate, to count people and not only browsers. For each browser and day, ISAI keeps a coded form of your network (never the address itself), your operating system and your time zone. Two browsers with the same account, or with the same network, system and time zone, count as one likely person. A network that many people use, for example an office, never joins browsers. ISAI deletes these details after 30 days. ISAI does not look at your computer for more details.
AI sites ISAI works with
Which AI tools does ISAI work with?
ISAI runs ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini as one team today. ISA, the bubble next to your AI, works on 23 AI chat sites. For example: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, Grok, DeepSeek, Le Chat (Mistral), Meta AI and Poe. For another AI chat site, click the ISAI icon in your browser toolbar. Then select "Use ISA on this site".
Does ISAI change how I use my AI?
No. You use your AI as usual. ISA waits beside the message box and shows finds while the AI answers. Tap ISA to see all the finds. When you want your AIs to work together, give ISAI a goal in the ISAI app.
Getting ISAI
How do I install ISAI?
ISAI needs ISAI's extension in Chrome, Edge, Brave or Arc on a computer. Open the Install page and add the extension to your browser. Then create your account in ISAI Settings or in ISAI itself, at isai.daetalabs.com/app. Sign in to your AI sites, such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, in the same browser.
Does ISAI work on my phone?
Not yet. ISAI and ISA need ISAI's extension, and phone browsers do not run extensions. Ask ISAI and ISAI Doc work on phones.
Do I need an account?
For ISAI tasks, yes: your AIs as one team need an ISAI account. For ISA, no. After you install ISAI's extension, choose Start now in ISAI Settings. Without an account, ISA finds pages and checks AI answers in Private mode: ISAI keeps nothing. You get free uses to start, then more every few hours. A free account keeps your notes, projects and watched pages, and lets ISA learn what helps you.
Do I need an invite code?
No. Anyone can make an ISAI account. Open ISAI Settings or ISAI and choose Create account, or Continue with Google. A code from us is a bonus: it gives more uses.
I used all my free uses. What now?
Make a free account, or tap Ask for more in ISA and say why you need more. We read every request.
How much does ISAI cost?
ISAI is free during early access. Your AI plans are separate: ISAI uses your own accounts on ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.
ISAI Doc
What is ISAI Doc?
ISAI Doc is a document. You write what you need in plain words. ISAI reads it. If one answer changes the search, ISAI asks one short question. Then ISAI finds and checks the evidence. It shows which claims are verified, which have one source and which have conflicts.
How is ISAI Doc different from ISA?
ISA works beside your AI chat, and you do not have to ask. Use ISAI Doc when you want to work on a decision or a research question, with checked evidence. Your notes from ISA go to ISAI Doc.
Daeta Labs and contact
Who makes ISAI?
Daeta Labs makes ISAI.
How do I contact the people who make ISAI?
Send an email to hello@daetalabs.com. You can also send feedback from the speech-bubble icon in ISA.
Your AIs as one team
What does ISAI do with my AIs?
ISAI makes your AIs work together as one team. You tell ISAI the goal. ISAI makes a plan, gives each step to the AI that is good at that work, and brings you one report. Your team is the AI sites that you already use, for example ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. You do not move between tabs: ISAI does that for you. Team tasks are in a test now. They open for more people soon.
Where do I open ISAI?
ISAI is a web app with a chat, like ChatGPT and Claude. Open isai.daetalabs.com/app in Chrome, Edge, Brave or Arc. You can try ISAI first, without an account, and sign in with your ISAI account later. You can also open it from ISA next to an AI site ("Open ISAI"). Or click the ISAI icon in your browser toolbar, or open ISAI Settings, and select "Open the ISAI app". Old links to isai.daetalabs.com/team still work.
Do I need ISAI's extension?
Yes. A website cannot type into other websites. ISAI's extension does that work in your own browser: it opens your AIs, types each step, and reads the answers back. Without the extension, ISAI shows "Get ISAI's extension", with a link to install it. Use the same browser for ISAI and the extension. When the extension stops answering (for example while Chrome updates it), ISAI shows "ISAI lost contact with its extension" and tries again by itself, every few seconds. Select Reconnect to try at once.
What are the modes in ISAI?
ISAI has seven modes. Chat: with no AI picked, ISAI answers you itself; with an AI picked, your words go to that AI as you wrote them, with no plan and no report. Project: ISAI plans the work, gives each part to the AI that is good at it, checks it and reports. Debate: your AIs argue for and against, and ISAI shows which points stand. Brainstorm: each AI gives ideas, then they improve the strongest ideas together. Cross-check: the same question goes to each AI, and ISAI shows where they agree and differ. Red team: one AI makes the work, and the others try to break it. Research: your AIs split the topic, and ISAI joins the parts into one brief.
How does a team task work?
Write your goal in the message box and pick a mode. You do not have to pick the AIs: with none picked, ISAI picks them (the AIs you are signed in to first) and gives each step to the AI that does that work well. You can also pick 1 to 4 AIs with @. Then press Enter or the send button. ISAI makes a plan and shows it in the chat. You check it, and you can give a step to another AI. Nothing runs before you select Start the team. Then ISAI types each step into its AI site, sends it, waits for the answer and reads it. Each step shows in the chat as a message from its AI. A later step can use earlier answers, for example a review of the work. At the end, ISAI writes one report. You can pause or stop the team at any time. Pause stops at a clean point: a step that works now finishes, and its answer counts. Then ISAI tells you which step Continue starts. Nothing is sent twice. Before you start, the plan shows about how long it takes and how many messages go to each AI. After the report, you can continue from this result with a new task. In Chat, there is no plan: your message goes when you press Enter.
What is Your AIs in ISAI?
Your AIs shows each AI as Connected, Signed out or Not checked in this browser. Select Sign in to open the AI's own website in a new tab, and sign in there as you always do. Select Check to let ISAI look for a moment. ISAI uses your own accounts in your own browser. ISAI never sees your passwords. For each AI, ISAI's extension keeps only one thing in your browser: if the AI site shows you signed in, and when. It looks only after you use ISAI, and never when ISA is Off.
Do I need an account for team tasks?
No, not to try them. You can try ISAI tasks without an account. ISAI then counts your tasks under a random guest id made in your browser; it keeps no goal, prompt or answer, the same as for an account. A guest has a few tasks a day. To get more tasks and to keep your tasks with your account, make a free account in ISAI itself. Your guest tasks then move to your account. It is the same account as in ISAI's extension and ISAI Doc. There is a daily limit of team tasks for each person.
Does ISAI use my own AI accounts?
Yes. ISAI works in your own browser, with the AI sites that you are signed in to. Sign in to each AI site before you start (Your AIs helps). The team chats are in your AI accounts, like chats that you write yourself, and they count toward the usage limits of your AI plans. ISAI never sees your AI passwords.
What if I am not signed in to an AI?
Before you start a plan, ISAI shows "Sign in to start" for each AI of the plan that you are not signed in to in this browser, with a Sign in button. When ISAI offers a new AI, Home shows it once, with Sign in. ISAI uses your own accounts, and it sees the sign-in by itself.
Can I edit my message?
Yes. Point at your message and select the pencil. Your words go back into the message box. In a chat, ISAI sends the changed message to the same AI. A plan that did not start is planned again in its place, so you do not get two tasks for one request.
Why did ISAI close some AI tabs?
A new task opens new AI tabs and closes the tabs of your earlier tasks that do not work now. Your chats stay in your AI accounts. ISAI never closes a tab that you opened, the tab that you look at, or a tab of a task that still works (for example in another ISAI tab).
Which AIs can be in my team?
ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. We can also add Perplexity, Grok, DeepSeek, Copilot and Le Chat. ISAI cannot use other AIs, for example Kimi, yet: type @ and the name, and ISAI tells you. You pick 1 to 4 AIs for each task. Debate, Brainstorm, Cross-check and Red team need 2 or more.
Where do my AIs work during a task?
In tabs next to the ISAI page, in the same window, in one tab group: one tab for each AI. ISAI opens them in the background, so you stay on the ISAI page and no new window opens. Select "Show ChatGPT" (or another AI) to see what that AI does. You can use other tabs while your AIs work: they keep working. Do not close their tabs while a task works. When a site sends or shows its answer only on screen, ISAI can show its tab for a moment (at most 8 seconds) and then bring the ISAI page back. It never does this while you type in ISAI. When the ISAI page is in a pop-up window, ISAI opens your AIs in a separate window, as before.
Can I see an AI's tab live in ISAI?
Yes. Open the watch view (the eye, or an AI in the bar above the task) and select "Show live". Chrome asks which tab to show. Pick the tab of that AI. Then you see it in ISAI as the site shows it, also artifacts, canvases and pictures. The picture stays in your browser: ISAI does not record it or send it. Select "Stop showing", or stop sharing in Chrome's bar, to stop it. ISAI changes nothing on the AI site.
Can I send a chat message to only one of my AIs?
Yes. In a chat, write @ and the AI's name in your message, for example "@gemini check this". Short forms also work: @g for Gemini, @c for Claude, @gpt for ChatGPT and @p for Perplexity. The start of a name also works when only one AI has that start. Then your message goes only to the AIs that you name. A message with no name goes to all the AIs of the chat. An AI that is not in the chat yet joins it and gets the chat so far. ISAI removes the names from the words that go to your AIs. The names show as small marks in the message box and in your message. In a team task, @ picks the AI for the task.
How do I make a picture, a video or deep research with my AIs?
In a chat, select + in the message box, then select Image, Video, Deep research or Web search. Or start your message with /image, /video, /research or /search. Each tool shows which of your AIs have it: for example, Video is in Gemini and Grok, and Image is in ChatGPT and Gemini. Your message goes only to the AIs of the chat that have the tool. ISAI turns on the AI's own tool in its tab and also asks for it in words. When ISAI cannot find the AI's tool button, the answer says so. Deep research and videos can take 5 to 30 minutes, so ISAI waits longer for them. The pictures, videos and files that your AIs make show under their answers in ISAI, with Download. The tool stays on for your next messages until you select "No tool".
Can ISAI use a video or voice AI that is not in the list?
Ask for it. In Your AIs (in the menu under your name), select Request an AI. Write its name, what it is for (for example, Video or Voice), its address if you know it, and a short note. The ISAI team sees the requests and adds the AIs that people ask for most. When an added AI has a tool, such as Video or Voice, it shows in the Tools menu. When you pick a tool that none of your AIs has, ISAI opens Request an AI for it. ISAI keeps the name, the address, what it is for and your note, with your account.
Can ISAI read an answer aloud, or take my voice?
Yes. Under each answer, select Listen (the speaker button): your browser reads the answer aloud with its own voice, on your computer. Select it again to stop. In the message box, select Speak (the microphone button) and talk: your words go into the box. Read them, then send. Speak uses your browser's speech recognition: in Chrome, the sound of your voice goes to Google to become words. ISAI gets only the words that you send. Videos and audio that your AIs make show under their answers in ISAI. Play them there, or select Download.
What if an AI asks me something?
Some AIs stop and ask you before they continue. For example, Claude asks you to allow a tool ("Allow once", "Deny"), Gemini shows a research plan with "Start research", and ChatGPT asks for the PIN of a locked chat. ISAI never answers for you. ISAI stops that step and shows the question in its card, "Needs you", with the AI's own buttons. Select one in ISAI, and ISAI presses that button in the AI's tab. Then ISAI reads the answer. You can also answer in the AI's tab: when the question is gone, ISAI goes on by itself. ISAI never types a code, a PIN or a password: answer those in the AI's tab. In a team task, an AI sometimes asks you a question in its answer before it does its step (deep research often asks what to focus on). Then the step and the steps that need it wait. Write your answer in the card and select Send answer: it goes to that AI in the same chat. Or select "Let it choose": the AI chooses and says what it chose. The question and your answer stay with the step. In a chat, a question back is the AI's answer: write your next message. The question stays in your browser with the task. ISAI does not keep it on its server.
What happens at a sign-in page, a robot check or a usage limit?
ISAI stops that step and asks you. ISAI never goes around a sign-in page, a robot check (a captcha) or a usage limit. The step that stopped shows a card under its AI, "Needs you". Select Try again, give the step to another AI, or skip it. To clear a sign-in page or a robot check, do it in the AI's tab: when the tab is ready again, ISAI goes on by itself. In a chat, the message that stopped has its own card (Try again, or Ask another AI), or you can just write your next message.
What does ISAI do when a step fails?
ISAI tries first, then asks you. When a message did not reach the AI (for example the site did not send it), ISAI tries again by itself, at most 2 more times, and the step says so: "ISAI tries again in 5 seconds (try 2 of 3)". When the message went but no answer came, ISAI reads the AI's tab again. It never sends the same message twice in one chat by itself. In a Project or Research task, ISAI can give a stuck step to another of your AIs, and it tells you under the step. After that, ISAI asks you. ISAI never skips a step by itself: only you can skip one. When a skip also skips a review of that work, the button says so ("Skip, with its review").
Must I keep my browser open for a team task?
Yes. ISAI works in your browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave or Arc). Keep the browser, the ISAI page and its AI tabs open until the task is done. You can use other tabs and windows while your AIs work. If you close the ISAI page, the task pauses. Open it again and select Continue.
Are team tasks private?
When you start a task, ISAI types your goal and its step prompts into the AI sites that you picked. This happens in your own browser, with your own sign-ins. ISAI reads their answers there. To plan and to write the report, ISAI sends your goal and those answers to its server and its AI provider. ISAI does not keep them. In Chat, your words go only to your AI: ISAI's server does not get them. It keeps only counts: the mode, which AIs, how many steps, which steps failed and why, and your rating. Your list of tasks and their answers stay in your browser, in the storage of the ISAI page. When you sign out of ISAI on the website, ISAI removes them from this browser.
Can I attach files or drop files in ISAI?
Yes. Drop files anywhere on the ISAI page, paste them into the message box, or select + and then Add files. ISAI reads text files, code, CSV, JSON, PDF and Word (.docx) files. You can attach at most 5 files to one message, each at most 10 MB. ISAI uses at most 40,000 characters of each file and tells you when it cut a file. Your browser reads the files. The text goes with your message to your AIs, or to ISAI when ISAI answers. Pictures and scans with no text do not work yet.
Can I use a past task as the start of a new one?
Yes. Under a finished task, the message box continues from its result. On the home page, select + and then Use a past task to pick a finished task. ISAI shows what it sends with your request: the goal, the result, the decisions, the open questions, the next steps and the sources. Remove the parts that you do not want. Your new request is more important than the earlier decisions. All of it stays in your browser until you send it.
What is ISA in the ISAI app?
ISA is an AI that you can pick in a chat, next to ChatGPT, Claude and your other AIs. Select @ and then ISA, or type @isa. ISA needs no extension and no tab. For each message, ISA finds pages and answers with them. The numbers in the answer, like [1], are the pages under the answer. When "Use what ISAI knows about me" is on (in the menu under your name), ISA fits the answer and the pages to you: what you work on, your projects, the words that go with a topic for you, the formats and sites you like, and what you do not want to see. Under the answer, "What ISA used about you" shows it. ISA does not keep your chat and does not learn from it. In a temporary chat, ISA uses nothing about you. Each answer uses one of your daily searches. ISA needs a free account.
Can a team task start without Start, or tell me when it is done?
Yes. Under a small plan, select "Start plans of up to 4 steps at once", or turn on "Start small plans at once" in Settings, under Team tasks. Then a small plan starts by itself, unless one of its AIs is signed out. Bigger plans still wait for Start. To get a notification when a task is done or needs you, select the bell while the task works, or turn on "Tell me when it is done" in Settings. Your browser asks you to allow notifications first. ISAI notifies you only when the ISAI page is not in view, and the notification has only ISAI's words, never your goal or an answer.
Can I chat without keeping the chat?
Yes. On the home page, select the temporary chat button at the top right. A temporary chat does not show in your tasks. ISAI does not use what it knows about you in it, and does not learn from it. When you leave the chat, ISAI deletes it from your browser. Select New task to start a normal chat again.
Can I move a chat to another AI?
Yes, with ISA. Open the ISAI card in ISA next to your AI. Under "This chat", pick another AI, for example Claude. ISAI opens it in a new tab and types the chat into its message box. ISAI does not send it: you read it, then you send it. Or select "Use this chat in ISAI" to start an ISAI task from the chat. The chat goes to no ISAI server.
What does ISAI know about me, and does it use it?
ISA learns the topics that you work on and your projects, and you confirm each one. In the ISAI app, open the menu under your name and turn on "Use what ISAI knows about me". Then, when a topic or project fits your request, ISAI adds one short line about it, and shows it in "What ISAI sends" before you send. You can remove it. It is off until you turn it on. ISAI never adds your chat text.
What happens when one of my AIs reaches its usage limit?
In a Project or Research task, ISAI gives that AI's steps to another of your AIs by itself, and says so under each step. In the other modes, the step stops, and ISAI tells you. Select "Give to" another AI. When the AI has more steps in the task, "Give all" moves them too. In a chat, select "Ask" another AI. When an AI ran out of time or its answer stopped before the end, the next AI gets the unfinished answer and continues it.
Can I ask ISAI from the address bar?
Yes, in Chrome, Edge, Brave and Arc with ISAI's extension. Type isai, then a space, then your question, and press Enter. The ISAI app opens with your question in Chat. Check it, then press Enter to send it to your AI.
Does ISAI learn which AI works well for me?
Yes, if you say yes. After a few tasks, ISAI asks if it can learn which AI works well for you. With it on, ISAI notes what happens in your tasks: steps done or failed, reviews, steps that you give to another AI, answers that you copy, your ratings. Never your words or answers. When an AI does a kind of work well for you (for example code), ISAI gives that work to it, and the plan shows why, for example "4 of 5 good". About 1 in 5 tasks uses ISAI's usual choice, so ISAI can check that this helps. Open the menu under your name, then What ISAI learned, to see it, turn it off, or make ISAI forget an AI or everything.
What are AI updates?
Once a day, at your time, ISAI tells you what is new in the AIs that you use, for example a new feature in Claude or Gemini. ISAI reads the official release notes of these AIs each night. You see only the updates for the AIs that you used with ISA or ISAI in the last 30 days. When nothing new fits, ISAI says nothing. The number on the ISAI icon in your toolbar shows new updates. Open them in ISA or in the ISAI app (AI updates). To change the time, turn them off, or get a notification, open ISAI Settings.
How does ISAI know when to suggest a team task?
ISAI starts every conversation in Chat, with no AI picked: ISAI answers you. ISAI writes in Simplified Technical English: short, clear sentences. When your message is a bigger job, for example research with sources, a plan with several parts or a comparison of options, ISAI tells you what the team will do and makes the plan at once. The plan gives each step to one of your AIs. Nothing runs before you approve it. To talk to one of your AIs, pick it with @. After your AI answers, ISAI reads your last message on your computer with Chrome's built-in AI. When the message is a bigger job, for example research with sources or a comparison of options, ISAI suggests a team task of that kind under the answer. ISAI shows the plan first, and nothing runs before you approve it. Select "Not now" three times for one kind, and ISAI stops suggesting that kind. Without Chrome's built-in AI, Chat works the same, with no suggestions. Your message does not leave your browser for this.
